Grounded Solutions Network Appoints New Board President

Burns, presently Senior Vice President of Citi Community Investment and Development in Washington, DC, said regarding the transition, "I know Akilah’s extensive community development knowledge and recognized industry leadership will advance Grounded Solutions’ major goal for expanding the number of homes with lasting affordability to reach 1 million new homes over the next 10 years."
A national thought leader with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Watkins-Butler has served as an executive leader for national nonprofit organizations and community development initiatives, including work with the Obama administration, NeighborWorks America, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the Center for the Study for Social Policy.
The Grounded Solutions Network Board of Directors collectively provides decades of experience in the use of permanently affordable housing models, inclusive housing policies and community development partnerships to create a future where everyone has access to a home they can afford in economically and racially diverse communities of opportunity.
