About Us
Together, we build and preserve communities where everyone can live and thrive. We empower our network to deliver practical solutions and advocate for sound policies.
Grounded Solutions Network supports strong communities from the ground up. We work nationally, connecting local experts with the networks, knowledge, and support they need. We help promote housing solutions that will stay affordable for generations.
Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate communities — equitable, inclusive and rich in opportunity — by advancing affordable housing solutions that last for generations.
Our Vision
Grounded Solutions Network seeks a future where everyone has access to a home they can afford in economically and racially diverse communities of opportunity that foster better health, academic, and economic outcomes.
Our History
Grounded Solutions Network was formed in 2016 through the merger of the National Community Land Trust Network and Cornerstone Partnership.
Our Values
Community
We promote the creation of strong, lasting, and inclusive communities. All people should have safe places to live and should be empowered to shape their neighborhoods into thriving places.
Equity and Justice
We support policy changes that break down barriers to success for hardworking families. Equitable communities that are racially and culturally integrated are healthier and more sustainable for everyone.
Solutions
We support and foster the use of proven tools and policies to manage neighborhood change and counteract the forces of displacement and gentrification. Our network connects people with the experts and resources they need to implement equitable and lasting community benefits.
Permanence
We prioritize housing solutions that will be affordable for the long term. It’s not enough to just create housing; we must preserve affordability by stewarding and safeguarding public investments in community assets for generations to come.
Connections
We share best practices and facilitate crucial relationships across an active national network of members, allies, and the clients we serve. Building capacity, sharing expertise, and increasing access to resources are key ways we work to help advance national progress towards equitable communities.
