Permanently affordable housing programs make two critical promises: (1) homes will be affordable over time and (2) homeowners will build wealth. We know that legal agreements alone cannot keep those promises; they require stewardship and monitoring at all times, and especially in times of economic turmoil. This intermediate level course reviews the contractual mandates and organizational mechanisms of monitoring, enforcement and stewardship, with a special focus on the challenges arising as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic – loss of income, health issues and medical bills, and changes in the way we are able to work. This course is designed for practitioners currently implementing a homeownership program with lasting affordability.
This course is $170 for Grounded Solutions Network members, and $220 for non-members. Interested in applying for a need-based reduced registration rate? Fill out this application form before you register.
